Breakdown: Fourth-ranked MLE stud Shoudt put aside his vegetarianism in November 2009 to win the Roy Rogers World Roast Beef Slider Eating Championship in Frederick, Md.
Sonya Thomas
What: 44 lobsters
Time: 12 minutes
Breakdown: In August 2005, the eater known as “the Black Widow” devoured 44 lobsters in 12 minutes in Kennebunk, Me. She received a $500 purse and $1,000 appearance fee.
Timothy Janus
What: 42 cupcakes
Time: 8 minutes
Breakdown: This April, Janus, a star gurgitator known in the business as Eater X, won the Isle Waterloo (Iowa) World Cupcake Eating Championship by swallowing 42 cupcakes.
Eric Booker
What: 30 matzo balls
Time: 5.42 minutes
Breakdown: In 2005, “Badlands” Booker made grandmas the world over proud by devouring a gut-busting 30 matzo balls at the Gussie’s/Empire Kosher Matzo Ball Eating Championships in New York.
