Coffeyville Resources LLC, a refinery owned by CVR Energy Inc., reported an equipment malfunction at its Coffeyville refinery in Kansas, according to a filing with the National Response Center.
The malfunction caused a release of 125 pounds of hydrogen sulfide and 549 pounds of sulfur dioxide, according to the filing. The incident started at 5:47 p.m. local time yesterday.
