Live Chat: Notre Dame Admissions

Chat: Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. EDT Guest: Brian Lohr, director of MBA admissions at the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business The University of Notre Dame is more than football. For some, it's all business. In fact, 913 people applied to the full-time MBA program at the university's Mendoza College of Business (Mendoza Full-Time MBA Profile) in 2009. The business school accepted fewer than 40% of those who applied. If you are looking to snag a seat at Mendoza, you won't want to miss our next live chat event on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. EDT. Our guest, Brian Lohr, director of MBA admissions at Mendoza, will answer your questions about everything from tailgating parties to the ins and outs of the business school application. Lohr has been the director of MBA Admissions since 2005, after having worked as the assistant director, associate director, and senior associate director for MBA admissions. His primary responsibilities center on the recruitment and enrollment of traditional MBA candidates. Before arriving at Notre Dame, Lohr was the director of enrollment for St. Meinrad College Seminary, a Benedictine monastery in southern Indiana where he focused on recruiting priesthood candidates. Lohr is a native of Hollywood, Fla., and began his professional career working for Lockheed-Martin (LMT) (formerly Martin-Marietta) as an account executive in St. Louis. Lohr was also a product manager at Datcon Instrument Co., now Maxima Technologies, before entering the field of higher education in 1995. Lohr earned a B.A. degree in English at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., and was a three-year letter winner on the football team playing for College Football Hall of Fame coach Joe Fusco. He also earned an M.S. in Administration from Mendoza and was class president during his time there.
