Twitter Censorship in China

Frederick Balfour, a BWer in China, blogs about the government monitoring Twitter accounts.

According to a video interview with prominent blogger Oiwan Lam, China’s thought police have monitored twitter postings of some of her friends, forcing them to limit access to their twitterings, thereby limiting their impact.

Still, the government apparently isn’t as successful infiltrating tweets as they are in with blogs, forums and chat rooms.
