Worried about your future should this economic slowdown turn into a full-fledged recession? Get answers to your questions about everything from making an impression with employers to protecting the position you already have at the live chat event on Monday, Apr. 7, at 1 p.m. ET. Our guest will be Katie Volz, director of career counseling at New York University Stern School of Business' Office of Career Development.

At NYU, Volz works individually with MBA students to assess their career interests and prepare them for the job market, and develops career-related workshops and programs. Before joining Stern, Katie spent nearly seven years at Merrill Lynch (MER) and PricewaterhouseCoopers in campus recruiting and human resources generalist roles.

Your host for this event will be Francesca Di Meglio (FrancescaBW), the B-schools community manager and reporter.

To participate in the chat, you should head to the B-schools home page about 10 minutes before the scheduled event. There, you'll find a promo for the chat. Click on it until you reach the chat auditorium, where you'll be able to ask questions and view our guest's responses. You'll be prompted to register with the site if you haven't done so already. It's free and should only take a few minutes.

Hope to see you there!

If you can't attend a live event, you can send Francesca Di Meglio questions for the guest in advance, and she'll try to pose as many as she can. Please type "Career Chat" in the subject line. Or, you may simply read the transcript that we post afterward.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
