BEAR STEARNS REITERATES OUTPERFORM ON HEWLETT-PACKARD

Bear Stearns analyst Andrew Neff says Hewlett-Packard's (HPQ) $0.86 non-GAAP first quarter EPS is ahead of his and the Street's $0.81 estimate due to revenue upside and margin expansion. He notes that despite macro headwinds, HP continued to execute on its turnaround, posting the 11th straight upside, with another quarter of balanced performance (including share gains, cost reduction, margin improvement) that exemplified HP's diverse customer base and broad portfolio.
