I met yesterday with Tony Conrad, co-founder of Sphere, the San Francisco start-up that floundered three years ago as a blog search engine before veering into a profitable niche. Sphere’s provides widgets and other services to help both mainstream Websites and blogs link their stories to relevant blogs and other content. In other words, they help outfits like (but not including) ours usher visitors away from their sites. They compete with New York start-up Inform Technologies.
