I'm back: Rip van Winkle wakes up

I’m heading into BusinessWeek this morning for my first day of magazine work in 15 months. My leave is history. I have no idea what to write about, and I welcome all ideas. I also don’t know what I’ll be blogging about, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my posts will be ever so slightly more relevant to our stated mission than the updates I’ve been filing on bike trips, writers block and parenting challenges.

This is a dead week at BW. We (they) published a double issue last Thursday and are not publishing this week. That means there’ll be virtually no one there to greet me after my long absence. More time for me to relearn Windows, change the message on my voicemail, get a hair cut at the cheap place on 46th St., and maybe have lunch with a colleague who, for one reason or another, shows up at the office today. Hey, work doesn’t sound half bad.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
