Shares tumbled Friday after the retailer slashed earnings guidance

The weak retail story from April is hitting Foot Locker (FL) especially hard. Same-store sales at the shoe and athletic-gear retailer dipped by 5.1% in the first quarter, prompting the company to slash its income guidance on May 10 after the market close.
