Well, the lawsuit is an interesting read, indeed. Turns out Cisco is accusing Apple of making "a surreptitious effort to obtain" rights to the iPhone name, after Cisco on numerous occassions refused to cut it a deal. Specifically, it claims Apple created an entity called Ocean Telecom Services LLC that has filed trademark applications for the iPhone name in Trinidad and Tobago, and in Australia in 2006. And in the US, Cisco says Ocean Telecom's application "is being held up in the United States Patent and Trademark Office becuase Cisco already has a registration for the same [trade]mark."
