Single-Digit Gains in 2007

S&P Economics thinks the risk of recession in the United States is no more than 25% in 2007, setting up the market for modest upside.

Real gross domestic product (GDP) growth should ease to 2.3% in 2007 from 3.3% estimated for 2006, but then recover slightly to 2.5% in 2008 (see table).
