Purdue: A Lot More than "Quant Jocks"

Krannert's director of admissions talks about what it takes to get in, and why they take some students without extensive work experience

"Work hard, work right, work together," is the motto at Purdue University's Krannert School of Management in West Lafayette, Ind. Director of admissions Carmen Castro-Rivera says those values are key to the success of a prospective Krannert student: "We don't have prima donna MBAs here." And while Rivera doesn't deny the school's "quant jock" reputation, she says soft skills like teamwork as just as important.
