Children of Mana


Square Enix's Children of Mana is a boring action-slash-role-playing-game that desperately wishes it was 1995 again. Then, the gaming world was just getting used to heroes with funky hairdos, sacred trees and cheesy dialogue. Most of the characters have nothing important to say, the story is extremely tired and the real time gameplay (that forbids weapon switching until certain areas have been reached) isn't much fun. It's a shame, because the Nintendo DS could really use a triple-A adventure title. It's just a shame that the masters of adventure couldn't deliver.
