S&P: Emerging markets are staging a comeback, buoyed by increasing investor confidence

The MSCI Emerging Market index, which is tracked by an exchange-traded fund (EEM), has rebounded from its June lows, rising 24% between June 13 and October 20 (in U.S. dollar terms). It has a healthy 14.2% year-to-date gain and has appreciated more than 200% in the past five years.
