Bosnia's Telecom Divide

In the country's first such privatization, 65% of Telekom Srpske will go on sale. The move will likely stir up ethnic tension

The government of Bosnia’s entity Republika Srpska called on 4 August an international tender to sell 65 percent of Telekom Srpske, the entity’s most successful state-owned company, with annual profits exceeding 40 million euros. The tender was published simultaneously in the Financial Times and Bosnia’s leading independent daily, Nezavisne novine. The deadline for submitting bids is 4 October.
