The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch
Sadly, instances of entertaining dialog aren't enough to save The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch. Outside of eliminating random attacks, the gameplay isn't especially noteworthy. Battles are tedious, often nothing more than mashing the confirm button, and the "find the right person" scenarios are tedious enough to make the above battles seem exciting. Additionally, the storyline, a generic coming-of-age / save the world tale, is something most RPG fans have seen countless times. This all combines in unflattering mediocrity, creating a tired "already played it" vibe for anyone familiar with the role-playing genre.
