Stocks End Second Quarter With a Whimper

The rally sparked Thursday by the Federal Reserve fizzled in a see-saw session

The major averages finished the second quarter on a down note in a see-saw session. Thursday's rally, sparked by speculation that the Federal Reserve will end its monetary tightening cycle by September and quarter-end window dressing, just didn't have legs. Bond yields moved sharply lower.
