Who Reads Blogs Anymore?

Obviously a lot of people. But not A-list blogger Mike Arrington of TechCrunch, apparently. At the TiEcon conference in Silicon Valley last week, he threw out this aside:

Obviously a lot of people. But not A-list blogger Mike Arrington of TechCrunch, apparently. At the TiEcon conference in Silicon Valley last week, he threw out this aside:

"I don't read blogs anymore because I don't have time."

Yikes. Now, given that it became apparent that he does still keep tabs on blogs via conversation-tracking sites such as TechMeme.com--he certainly notices when I post something about his blog--maybe that's not such a shocker. Still, it makes you wonder about the fate of the long tail of blogs, which may or may not show up on the aggregator sites. All the more, we need much better feed readers than we're getting so far.
