Russia's Rosneft Snags CFO from Morgan Stanley
In the run-up to an anticipated $20 billion initial public offering this summer, Russian state oil giant Rosneft has brought in a new American chief financial officer. Moscow-based Rosneft said Mar. 30 that it has hired Peter O'Brien, 36, a former Morgan Stanley (MS) vice-president, to head up a recently established "Group of Financial Advisers to the President." O'Brien will be responsible for strategic investment projects, debt and equity raising, business planning, and monitoring, the company said in a statement.
