Caruso croons on iTunes

Stephen Baker

Arik Hesseldahl points to century-old Caruso recordings available on iTunes. It's an interesting post about the ancient music available online. Fascinating troves for musicologists, I'm sure. But I don't think Enrico's scratchy vibes would be too easy on the ears through an iPod.

This reminds me that I just bought an Edirol R1 recorder for interviews and podcasts while I'm doing the book. If Caruso had had one of these, his centenarian croonings would be climbing up the iTunes hit list.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
