The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth IIBy
It's time to head back to Middle-Earth! Now that EA has control of both the movie and book properties, they are free to take their Battle for Middle Earth series to a new level. This sequel to 2004's excellent real-time strategy game breaks away from the trilogy we know so well and concentrates on the battles of the north. Players will be able to use Elven, Dwarf, or Goblin armies to fight their way to victory. Some of the new features, like The War of the Ring mode don't play out as nicely as they should, and the single player campaigns are a bit generic, but overall this is a great, fast-paced game.
