Apple Embeds Secret Poem to Hackers

Bruce Nussbaum

It's true. Apple confirmed that it is sending hidden poems to hackers asking them nicely not to hack its new OS X operating system built to work on Intel chips in order to run it on non-Mac PCs.

The poem, placed deep inside the software says: "Your karma check for today: There once was a user that whined/his existing OS was so blind/he'd do better to pirate/an OS that ran great/but found his hardware declined./Please don't steal Mac OS!/Really, that's way uncool./(C) Apple Computer, Inc."

Of course, lots of people think Apple should open up and license its great operating systems anyhow. Might increase it's itty bitty market share, right?

But that's another story. This one is about poetry. I like it. It shows Apple as the classy company it so is.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
