MySpace: The Web's Very Own Houston
Interesting column by BW's Jesse James Garrett about the design chaos of MySpace. He writes about how MySpace pages are something only their owners could love, but that that's the point:That the people who run MySpace don't try to impose an aesthetic. "Instead," he writes, "the system allows users to do almost anything to the look of their pages, whether it's a good idea or not." Kind of like Houston, which doesn't have zoning laws.
