Energy Prices Still Falling
MARKETSCOPE : Energy prices plunged on Friday as investors eyed forecasts of warmer weather after the holidays.
January West Texas Intermediate crude oil plunged $1.93 to $58.06.
January heating oil futures skidded 5.53 cents to 173.20 cents, while January gasoline futures dropped 4.79 cents to 156.89 cents. January natural gas prices, which fell Thursday despite a large drawdown in inventories, fell 15 cents to $13.63. Inventories still are 107 billion cubic feet above the 5-year average of 2,857 Bcf.
