Energy Prices Rise As Investors Eye Colder Weather
MARKETSCOPE : Energy prices rose Thursday amid colder weather in the Northeast and Midwest.
January crude oil futures rose $1.15 to $58.47 level, January heating oil futures spurted 4.90 cents to 173.87 cents, and January gasoline futures soared 6.55 cents to 156.26 cents.
January natural gas rose 44 cents to $13.03 in a seesaw session following an Energy Information Administration report that showed stocks fell 49 billion cubic feet in the week ended Nov. 25.
