Technorati's catching up to Google's speed

Technorati has caught up to Google in blog search speed, and is also offering a mini window for obsessive bloggers to see who's linking to them

For anyone who suffered Technorati's sludgy service last summer, David Sifry's boast that Technorati has caught to Google speed is welcome news. (From Inside Google). Sifry posts an interesting chart comparing the blog search engines. I was surprised to see that Bloglines is also getting speedy.

Sifry also points to the new Technorati mini, a small window that searches "obsessively" every 60 seconds. I'm predicting that lots of bloggers will plug in their urls--and that other search engines will come up with similar services within weeks.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
