Question the Numbers

You can’t believe the financial results that come out of your software system. Those numbers need to be reviewed and questioned. My favorite managers are the ones who look at a set of numbers and say, “That number can’t be right,” or “That number doesn’t make sense to me.” Those are the people who know the business inside and out. When they speak up, it gives you an opportunity to figure out what went wrong and fix it.
