Baird Ups Rec on PC Connection to Outperform from Neutral

Cited the company's quarterly results announced Thursday

Robert W. Baird raised its investment recommendation on PC Connection (PCCC ) to outperform from neutral, after the company's posted 10 cents vs. 16 cents third quarter operating earnings per share on Thursday.

Analyst David Manthey said the third quarter results were in line with estimates, but his upgrade is based on very low stock price valuation, significant potential accretion from the recently acquired Amherst Technologies, and the company's new systems/training programs and improved productivity. He says he recommends PC Connection based on the potential for significant earnings acceleration in 2006 and beyond. He has an $8 price target on the stock.
