Energy Prices Fell

Investors waited for news about inventories

MARKETSCOPE : Energy prices fell early Wednesday, as investors waited for news about fuel inventories.

December West Texas Intermediate crude was off 44 cents to $62.00 on Access. A Department of Energy (DOE) report was expected to show inventories rose 2 to 4 million barrels in the past week. November heating oil futures were off 99 cents to 188.00, as market players bet that the DOE report would show stocks fell 1 to 2 million barrels. November gasoline futures were off 133 cents to 164.05 cents, amid expectations of news that stocks fell 1 to 2 million barrels.

November natural gas futures were up 9 cents to $14.43. December Brent crude oil futures were off 39 cents to $59.85.
