Hershey Replaces Ogilvy & Mather Over Client Conflict

Hershey Co., the No. 1 U.S. chocolate maker, is replacing WPP Group Plc's Ogilvy & Mather after the advertising agency signed a worldwide contract with Hershey rival Kraft Foods Inc. last year.

Havas SA's Arnold Worldwide and North Castle Partners will step in for Ogilvy, which worked for Hershey for 35 years. Ogilvy said in a statement today it resigned the account because of an ``emerging conflict'' with Hershey and other clients. Hershey is also ending its relationship with Omnicom Group Inc.'s DDB as its other advertising agency.
