"Can you talk about Google?"

That's the question our press person just came by to ask me. We get these requests from TV shows to come in do quick interviews. This time it was about Google's stock sale.

I have learned the hard way not to agree to be interviewed unless I have a strong opinion or know the company well. Sounds obvious. But the chance to be on TV is so tempting...

I wonder, though, whether blogging may change that. If people have more options to reach out to others and share their views, maybe they won't feel the need to get on TV--no matter the cost. Of course, the opposite effect may be that people who are popular bloggers are asked to come on TV--and end up talking about things they know nothing about....
