Japanese promote TV commercials
Why didn't we think of this before? If the TV industry's in trouble because people are skipping or ignoring ads, how about an advertising blitz in behalf of ads? That's apparently what Japanese broadcasters are planning, according to CNET. Would TiVo users dare zap them? Kidding aside, the best way for TV to get people to watch ads is to make them as entertaining as the programming.
