This just in from Australia---

The Podcast Network, a startup that pulls together a handful of podcast shows (ok around 30), just put out a press release announcing that the number of monthly downloads more than doubled between May and June to 205,766.

Now, I haven't done any reporting to judge how good this is and would love to hear your input on this.

But the folks at TPN, who bootstrapped the startup and launched it in mid-February without any outside funding, seem very happy with it. (Full disclosure, I was interviewed by the co-founders Cameron Reilly and Mick Stanic and have interviewed them.) Apparently, since mid-February, around 500,000 shows have been downloaded overall, including the more than 200,000 in June.
