Susan Garland is a freelance journalist whose articles have appeared in BusinessWeek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, AARP The Magazine, and Parents. Previously she spent 12 years as a correspondent in BusinessWeek's Washington bureau, where she covered legal affairs, the White House, national politics, and social policy, among other topics. Garland lives in Bethesda, Md., with her husband and daughter.

Jeremy Quittner lives and works in New York's Greenwich Village. A freelance journalist, Quittner writes regularly about business and technology for Crain's New York Business and American Banker, as well as other business publications. His work has also appeared in Newsday, the New York Post, and The New York Times, as well as Cargo, Gourmet, Real Simple, and Saveur, where he often writes about food, culture, and health. Quittner is an enthusiastic world traveler and an avid swimmer. He's currently working on his first novel, a thriller inspired by film noir.

Marilyn Harris has been an editor and bureau manager for BusinessWeek and an associate producer based in Paris for CBS News' 60 Minutes. Now working as a freelance journalist, Harris has made Short Hills, N.J., her home base. She lives there with her husband, their son, and a cat. She spends her free time playing tennis and cheering at Little League games.
