Treasuries rallied Thursday afternoon following a successful 10-year auction

S&P MARKETSCOPE: Treasurys staging late day rally following a successful 10-year note auction that capped a strong refunding program. Stocks are skidding amid revived hedge fund problem speculation, sparking a renewed flight to safety. 10-year notes up 06/32 to 98-17/32 for yield of 4.188%, 30-year bond up 10/32 to 112-27/32 for yield of 4.529%. Fed Vice Chairman Ferguson said the hedge fund community was "not a source of financial instability, nor likely to become one". He said better risk management at hedge funds and tighter regulation by G7 countries were factors.
