Bonds End Lower

Treasuries fell on Friday, after being on the brink of positive territory all afternoon

Treasuries ended lower on Friday, but were on the brink of positive territory all afternoon, according to Informa Global Markets. Oil's continued fall and thin market conditions kept pressure on Treasuries. Treasuries opened lower despite a pick up in Asian buying overnight and prices fell steadily as oil continued to retreat. As oil stabilitized and stocks headed south, Treasury lows saw some support. Euro-based short covering emerged in German Bunds, and some filtered into Treasuries.
