Treasuries Close Lower
Treasuries extended their losses Tuesday, partly on increased corporate debt issuance, and partly on fears that foreign governments and investors will slow buying given the ongoing weakness in the dollar. The increase in third-quarter GDP, indicating a strengthening economy, also triggered Treasury selling. The yield on the benchmark 10-year note closed at 4.36%, up from Monday's close of 4.34%.
