Treasuries Finish Flat

There was a successful auction of 5-year notes, and the dollar firmed

The 10-year Treasury note was near unchanged as today's successful 5-year auction supported by foreign buyers which helped the dollar firm. The 10-year yield traded in a tight 4.20% to 4.22% range. At the end of the day, it closed at the high-end of the range. Today's auction yielded a 2.90 cover and above average 44.8% in indirect bids. The Department of Treasury will be auctioning off another $14 billion in 10-year Treasuries tomorrow.
