Asia stocks slip at close; Canada stocks finish with losses

European stock markets finished lower on Thursday, as oil worries pressure the market. London's FTSE 100 index was down 43.1 points, or 0.96%, to 4,428.7, as the effects of rising oil prices offset positive earnings reports. BT was 3.3% higher as investors welcome news that the beleaguered group has managed to pare its recent profit decline, reports MarketScope.
