Big Labor Goes to Bat in Boardrooms

Angered over big paychecks for top execs, the AFL-CIO is targeting a vote no campaign at 10 corporate directors

Opening a new offensive in its battle to prod Corporate America into good governance, the AFL-CIO on Apr. 15 will kick off "vote-no" campaigns aimed at tossing 10 directors off company boards this proxy season. The target companies include American Airlines (AMR ), Cisco Systems (CSCO ), and Apple Computer (AAPL ).
