Europe Stocks End Lower

Asia stocks end mixed; Canada shares rise

Major European indexes finished lower Friday, following the initial U.S. GDP reading. London's Financial Times-Stock Exchange 100 index ended down 20.80 points, or 0.47%, at 4,390.70. A report showed that U.K. credit and mortgage lending growth slowed in December.
