Helen of Troy agrees to acquire Brut from Unilever, and more deal news

Vivendi Universal (V ) says it will enter exclusive negotiations for a deal to merge its U.S. film and TV businesses with General Electric's (GE ) NBC unit. (9/2)

Helen of Troy (HELE ) agreed to acquire Brut for the U.S., Canada and the rest of the Western Hemisphere from Unilever. The transaction expected to add to Helen of Troy's earnings in the remainder of fiscal year 2004, with EPS contribution in 20 cents to 24 cents range. (9/2)
