Berkshire Hathaway Agrees to Acquire McLane from Wal-Mart

Computer Horizon rejects a $5 per share offer from Aquent LLC, and more deal news

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA ) agrees to acquire McLane Co., the grocery-distribution business of Wal-Mart Stores (WMT ), for about $1.5 billion. Wal-Mart also said it will sell Merit Distribution Services, a McLane subsidiary, to Swift Transportation Co. (SWFT ), a national-truckload carrier, for about $50 million.(5/2)
