In this time of war, businesses across the U.S. are rallying to their country's call by supporting workers who have been called up for active duty, with many outfits taking it upon themselves to make up the difference between military reserve pay rates and their absent employees' regular salaries. But business owners need support as well, says Joyce Gioia, executive director of the nonprofit Workforce Stability Institute (WSI).
