Vishay Credit Rating Lowered

S&P says the electronic components maker's acquisition of BCC will boost its leverage -- while raising its exposure to pricing pressures

On Jan. 17, 2003, Standard & Poor's lowered its corporate credit and senior unsecured bank loan ratings on electronic components manufacturer Vishay Intertechnology (VSH ) to 'BB' from 'BB+' and lowered its subordinated debt rating to 'B+' from 'BB-.' At the same time, the ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they had been placed on Nov. 11, 2002. The outlook is stable.
