KeyCorp Agrees to Acquire Union Bank

Dole Food's chairman offers to buy the shares he doesn't own, and more merger news

Union Bank (UBSC ) agreed to be acquired by KeyCorp (KEY ) for $22.63 per share in cash. (9/25)

Home Depot (HD ) agrees to buy three flooring subcontractors to make it the nation's largest supplier of installed carpet, tile and other flooring to the residential construction market. The three companies are: Floors Inc., Landover, Md.; Floorworks Inc., Phoenix; and Arvada Hardwood Floor Co., Colorado Springs, Colo. Terms were not disclosed. (9/24)

Dole Food (DOL ) CEO and Chairman David Murdock offers $29.50 for each share he or his family doesn't own of the food company. The cost of acquiring the 43 million shares that Murdock and his family don't own would be about $1.26 billion, plus the assumption of about $1.24 billion in debt. (9/23)

Iberiabank (IBKC ) agrees to buy Acadiana Bancshares (ANA ) for $39.38 per share. (9/23) Anaren Microwave (ANEN ) says it will offer to acquire Celeritek (CLTK ) for $8.75 per CLTK share. (9/20)

Sterling Financial (STSA ) agrees to buy Empire Federal (EFBC ). Terms: $19.25 in STSA stock = 1 share of EFBC. (9/20)
