Table: On a Tear
Univision, the largest U.S. Hispanic media company, is pushing to get even bigger:
Earlier this year, Univision launched bilingual network TeleFutura, which has captured 8% of the U.S. prime-time audience.
Last year, it bought 50% of Disa Records, the world's No. 2 Spanish-language record label. It's also acquiring Mexican music label Fonovisa.
In June, it snapped up Hispanic Broadcasting, the nation's largest chain of Hispanic radio operations, with 55 stations, for $3.5 billion.
In 2000, it set up Univision Online; signed a marketing pact last year with America Online.
