The extra flying time to Lanai is worth it

Manele Bay Hotel (Lanai City): Perhaps no resort on the list can claim to be more secluded: It probably will take at least two plane flights to reach one of the smallest of Hawaii's major islands. Once on the island of Lanai, however, you'll realize this is the ultimate place for a business meeting. Its beauty is only matched by its service. The Challenge at Manele Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus masterpiece routed along cliffs overlooking Hulopoe Bay. And although the resort has traditional meeting space, who can resist having an oceanside seminar? That is, if you don't mind the tropical breezes, swaying palm trees, and an occasional dolphin or whale surfacing off the coast while you make your presentation.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
