Stocks End Lower

Selling pressure returned as investors grew worried about the telecom services group despite upbeat news from other companies

Stocks ended lower on Monday as jittery investors bailed out of telecom and other stocks on rising concerns about profits. The session's downdraft continued a selling spree that intensified last week when U.S. stocks closed with their biggest weekly losses since September, 2001.
