Goldman Keeps Overture on 'Recommended List'

Analyst Anthony Noto says despite tougher competition, the Internet company's search servicdes are more compelling than Google's new product

Goldman reiterates recommended list on Overture Services (OVER ).

Analyst Anthony Noto says while investors may be concerned that the new Google offering has changed the competitive landscape, his investment opinion remains unchanged. He still thinks the company's leadership position in the pay-for search market remains intact based on the benefits of network effects which offers advertisers greater reach; distribution partners' superior monetization ability; auction-based dynamic pricing model; scale; and alignment with syndicate partners (no channel conflict).

The bottom line is that the value provided by Overture to syndicate partners and advertisers still is more compelling than Google's new search product.
